Somerset

We stayed near Shepton Mallet, and stayed in a ramshackle climbers and cavers bunk house. We climbed everyday mostly in nearby limestone quarries. We had a chance meeting with a local man who keeps the climbs in a good state. This and the access we had to the strange man-made landscapes gave me an awareness of and the feeling of being part of a climbing community. Left wishing I had explored the area more or more specifically visit the local village pubs.
