This was a family trip to Snowdonia with a mission to climb Snowdon. We stayed at the campsite in the Ogwen valley which has dramatic surroundings of Tryfan and the Carnedds surrounding it.

Our Snowdon day was very cloudy but conditions were fairly good in that it wasn’t lashing it down with rain and/or blowing a gale.  We made steady progress up through the cloud with one party going up Crib Gogh and the other up the Pyg track.  I was in the latter group as I had my baby with me.  The view was not very good but we had a great day and were rewarded with fleeting views of where we had come from at the top.
It was a great achievement for me doing this as I have been mountaineering for a few years but doing outdoorsy things with a baby is a new challenge.  Being with other families and child friendly adults makes it all more possible. We also managed some rock climbing on other days and even got some sunshine while there.  I was able to lead climb a route while someone else looked after my baby, which I really enjoyed. Anna
