Family First Aid training

On Saturday 30 Sept, I attended a Family First Aid training.

It was led by Agnes Munday, an extremely wise and skilled person with a great, clear teaching style and an ability to get the most important points across.

We covered:
– what is first aid, when and how to proceed safely
– prevention is better than cure
– CPR for baby and child
– Recovery position
 – managing choking
– managing a life threatening bleed.
– managing shock
– managing a burn

After this training we were encouraged to teach everyone we know these skills, adults and children alike! So I will do a teaching session for us on the half term trip and another later in the autumn for those not the trip.
